Apple introduced a new stylus for its tablets on Wednesday, dubbed Apple Pencil.
Apple exec Phil Schiller introduced the stylus, which is meant for use with Apple's newly introduced tablet: the iPad Pro. The stylus is rechargeable using the iPad Pro's Lightning charging port, and it has a pressure sensitive stylus for pixel-perfect drawing. It can be used with the screen's multi-touch functionality, as you see here:

The Apple Pencil is an attempt to appease power users who demand fine input on a high-end tablet:

The announcement stands in stark contrast to previous messaging on an official Apple stylus. Famously, during the iPhone's introduction in 2007, former Apple CEO Steve Jobs said, "You have to get ‘em, put ‘em away, you lose ‘em, yuck. Nobody wants a stylus." But then Mr. Jobs was known for his mercurial personality.
When the Apple Pencil launches this November, it will cost $100 and will work with Apple's $800 iPad Pro.
