Uber, DataStax, and Chegg are three great Bay Area places to work for, according to employees that work there and that have rated their companies.
Comparably, a company where people can anonymously rate the places they work at, releases a few different annual rankings throughout the year. That includes the annual ranking for the best companies to work for in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The company used anonymous ratings and responses to questions about employers from workers to create the list. While these companies may have offices in this area, some people may have the option to work from home, given remote work has become a popular way to work during the last few years at some companies. Therefore, Comparably also used the ratings of those who work remotely at least part of the time, but who noted a Bay Area office. Ratings used in the analysis were of those left by people on the site from February 27, 2022 through February 27, 2023.
Based on Comparably's methodology that used anonymous responses on multiple workplace topics, such as compensation and work-life balance, Calix moved up this year to the very top of the list. Uber is another company that moved up the list — from No. 50 in the last iteration of this annual ranking to No. 22 this time.
