Business Insider has been named a finalist for the acclaimed ASME awards, one of the most prestigious journalism awards in the United States.

Enterprise Correspondent Hannah Beckler has been recognized for the following three pieces from her series "The Business of C-Sections" in the category of Service Journalism.

"C-section rates can swing wildly from hospital to hospital, but women looking for that data may come up short. Our goal with this project was to provide the public with information that would help them make the best decision possible when it came to pregnancy," said Enterprise Deputy Editor Sophie Kleeman.

"Hannah spent months carefully compiling public records and interviews, and worked with Randy Yeip and our data graphics team to create a first-of-its-kind searchable map. Her empathetic reporting sheds light on a crucial and high-stakes issue, and it's a model for service journalism."
