"Glee" actor Cory Monteith has been found dead in a hotel room in Canada, according to a Vancouver press conference.
The 31-year-old actor played Finn Hudson on the hit Fox show.
Police have ruled out foul play.
According to the statement, police confirmed Monteith's body was discovered shortly after noon at the Fairmount Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver.
The young actor's body was found by hotel staff after he failed to check out of his room.
Surveillance footage shows Monteith was alone in his room last night.
An autopsy will take place Monday.
In March, Monteith voluntarily checked himself into a rehab facility for substance addiction.
In 2011, the actor opened up about his battle with drug use to Parade.
"I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too," said Monteith. "But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it. If I can, anyone can.”
Monteith has starred on "Glee" since it first aired in 2009, winning two awards for his role as boy-next-door Hudson.
"Glee" executive producers and 20th Century Fox TV released the following statement via TV Guide Magazine:
"We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones."
Later this year, Monteith will be featured in indie film "All the Wrong Reasons."
