Which PS5 should I buy?

The slim PS5 with a disc drive is 500, just like its predecessor, but the slim PS5 Digital Edition is $450, which is $50 more than the original PS5 Digital Edition. On the plus side, both consoles come with 1TB of storage, up from 825GB.
Digital-edition consoles are missing a 4K Blu-ray drive for physical games and movies, so you must download all your games. But the slim version of the digital-edition PS5 allows you to add a disc drive later if you want to upgrade. Other than that, both offer the same performance.

When will the PS5 Slim be released?
The new slimmer versions of the PS5 are out now. They were released in November 2023.
Now that the slim options are fully released, the original, thicker PS5 models will only be available until the stock sells out. Afterward, only these new, slimmer versions will be stocked in stores.
Is the PS5 better than the Xbox Series X?
