The iPhone screen protector has existed for just about as long as the iPhone itself, and for good reason. With so few buttons, the display is one of the device's only points of interaction. A broken screen means bad visuals, or worse, a useless phone altogether. Now, generations later, the glass is more durable, but shielding it remains a necessity for most of us. That's why I've gathered the best iPhone 18 Pro Max screen protectors to keep your new phone safe.

The amount of options you have to choose from is overwhelming — and not all are going to be worth your time or money. Zagg is a beloved name in the game, known for making some of the most protective tempered glass shields you can find, backed by lifetime replacements. Alternatively, shoppers on a tight budget can pick up AmFilm's multipacks, which offer surprisingly great defense despite the low price.

The best iPhone 18 Pro Max screen protectors

What is the best iPhone 18 Pro Max screen protector?

The best screen protector for your iPhone 18 Pro Max depends on what you're prioritizing as a user. Now, if you asked my old iPhone 15, "Which screen protector saved you from the hard metal jaws of a motorized reclining couch?" the answer would be Magic John's. (The screen protector was crushed to dust, but the glass display itself was without a scratch!)

That said, based on my years of testing, I highly recommend AmFilm's budget-friendly packs if you want something cheap. It's more than enough for everyday use, so long as you don't plan to drop your phone into the crack of a motorized couch. They're also thinner than pricier options, which means they catch less on your belongings and accumulate less gunk at the edges.

Do iPhone 17 Pro Max screen protectors fit the iPhone 18 Pro Max?

Since the iPhone 18 Pro Max has the same screen size as its predecessor, the iPhone 17 Pro Max, many screen protectors are compatible with both models. As always, though, I recommend looking closely at your product's specifications — some are specific to a single generation, meaning the protection will be lackluster if used on an incompatible device.

What case should I get?

A case is always a wise investment, especially because covering your screen doesn't necessarily eliminate the risk of shattered glass. After all, a hard hit on the corner of your iPhone 18 Pro Max or force applied to the center of the device can also deal major damage to your screen, regardless.

There are already a ton of options, and I've highlighted the best iPhone 18 Pro Max cases from our tried-and-true brand favorites in my guide. If you need a quick answer, I recommend the Spigen Ultra Hybrid as a good balance of protection and price, or the Mkeke Techwoven line for something more stylish yet affordable.
