Though Apple discontinued the Dashboard feature on Mac computers with its recent macOS Catalina update, those who have Macs running macOS Mojave or earlier still have the feature and may want to do without it.

How to get rid of the dashboard on your Mac
1. Click on the Apple icon in the top-left of the menu bar at the top of your screen.
2. Scroll down to and select "System Preferences..."
3. Click on "Mission Control."
4. The first item after the checkboxes in the "Mission Control" pop-up window is the "Dashboard" toggle.
5. Click on the "Dashboard" drop-down selector to choose between the three options.
6. Scrolling to "As Overlay" will make the widgets on your Dashboard appear over your main desktop. Scrolling to "As Space" will make your Dashboard appear as its own screen when you open it. To turn it off, scroll to "Off."
