Jade Nicole, who uses an alias for privacy reasons, is a former pharmacy technician from Kansas City, Missouri, who joined OnlyFans in April 2019.

Early on, she often experimented with pricing.

"I made a lot of changes throughout, constant changes," Nicole said. "I experimented with a bunch of different pricing models, including a really low fee where I'm selling additional videos."

The OnlyFans creator at one time tried offering a free trial method, which emphasized gaining fans. But eventually she settled on a higher pricing model based on other OnlyFans creators' pricing schemes.

Although she now has a smaller fan base of 1,000 paid fans, Nicole charges a higher monthly fee of $25 a month to view all of her content on her VIP page. Nicole also charges between $10 and $75 for five- to 20-minute videos, and $10 to $15 for content bundles with one-minute video clips and photos.

For $700 a month, fans of Nicole can purchase a VIP package that includes daily texting, among other perks.

"They're getting more like individualized attention," Nicole said of the VIP package. "We can text every single day and get to know each other more outside of the OnlyFans platform. I just got back from vacation, and when I was on vacation, I sent my current guy ... a postcard from where I was staying."

Emphasizing quality over quantity in the longer-term has worked for the OnlyFans creator, who crossed the $1 million mark this June, 26 months after she started posting. Insider verified Nicole's earnings through documentation she provided.

"I work seven days a week," Nicole said. "I'm just always thinking about new ideas, even if it's not something that I'm actively doing in the moment. There's always just brainstorming going on."

Nicole early on also invested several thousand dollars a month in promo "shoutouts," the common practice among many adult creators of promoting their accounts on other creators' pages, which she said was vital in driving attention to her page.

"I think a lot of us who are already in the industry saw big jumps through the pandemic and everybody being home all the time," Nicole said. "That was definitely a big shift, when I just realized how much money there was to be made if you really treat [OnlyFans] like a full-time job."

With her OnlyFans earnings, Nicole feels fortunate to have a sense of financial stability in her life.

"I think I want to have a paid-off house, something that I don't have to worry about because that has been a struggle in the past," Nicole said. "I just would like to have security for my kids. I feel really lucky right now where they're able to do all the activities ... and there's no concern about not having the money to support what they want to do."
