Democratic lawmakers are typically loath to weigh in on the travails of Hunter Biden, the wayward son of President Joe Biden.
Not today.
On Wednesday, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia displayed lewd photos of the younger Biden at a House Oversight Committee hearing that purportedly showed Biden engaged in sexual acts with prostitutes. The display prompted squirming from other committee members, who questioned whether the images were appropriate for display.
But on Twitter, Rep. Jared Moskowitz — a freshman Democrat from Florida who also sits on the committee — made an unusual comment about the images.
"Based on this," Moskowitz tweeted," perhaps we should call Hunter Biden the 'Big Guy.'"

Hunter Biden has been in Republican lawmakers' crosshairs since his father became a frontrunner in the 2020 presidential election. And since the GOP won control of the House of Representatives in the 2022 midterms, they've launched a number of congressional investigations into the first son.
Wednesday's oversight hearing focused on broad allegations that federal officials interfered in the Justice Department's criminal investigation into Hunter Biden's financial activities. The younger Biden pleaded guilty last month to two misdemeanor counts of failing to pay his income taxes. He was also indicted on a felony gun charge, but he agreed to enter a pretrial diversion program to avoid being prosecuted on the firearm charge.
Greene, a far-right firebrand and one of former President Donald Trump's most stalwart defenders on Capitol Hill, was immediately excoriated for flashing sexually explicit of the younger Biden during Wednesday's oversight hearing.
"Should we be displaying this in the committee?" said Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland.
"Marjorie Taylor Greene is literally showing dick pics at our Oversight Hearing," tweeted California Rep. Robert Garcia.
