Dr. Mehmet Oz became Oprah Winfrey's protege after the two met at the Discovery Channel.
Oprah invited him on her show and started coaching the surgeon on how to capture the viewers' attention.
"She taught me at Oprah University, which is what it is, exactly how to talk to people about important things," said Dr. Oz at our IGNITION conference last week. "And you don't make them feel insulted, and you lift them up and celebrate them, at the same time awaken them to who they could be."
